Nantucket Whaling Museum • Candle Factory

The Hadwen & Barney Oil and Candle Factory is inside the Nantucket Whaling museum and is the original site where they would process oil and make sperma­ceti candles. In the candle factory as also other exhibits showing Nantucket industries that arose from the whaling era. Explore eleven unique galleries and exhibit spaces featuring thousands of artifacts and art pertaining to Nantucket life, art, and ideas and Nantucket’s unique place in the world. The Design Cove has several signs throughout the museum.
